Angelfish Swimming offers lessons to children of all ages. Bring your children to a safe environment with a fun and talented instructor then learn to swim for a lifetime. And throw in a pool party for the fun of it.
Children from 6 months and up are taught how to love the water and how to be safe as they learn to swim. The philosophy of Angelfish Swimming is to take the fear out of the water and give the tools needed to be safe and to have fun.
Swimmers learn the American Red Cross Program, from the Parent and Child Aquatic Program, Introduction to Water Skills and Stroke Development up to level six where they can diverse their swimming abilities to become certified in the Life Guard Readiness program, learn how to develop a Fitness Program or be proficient in a Personal Water Safety Program.
Swim Team training: Individuals wanting to be on a swim team are given instruction on how to improve their strokes, turns and dives to get the best times they can get.
The instructor, Connie Chapin or otherwise known as “Miss Connie”, is an American Red Cross Certified water safety instructor. Connie owns the business and teaches nearly all the classes. She loves what she does and has as much fun teaching as the kids have learning.
The cozy backyard pool is located in the Kirkland Highlands neighborhood and offers a safe environment to learn the swim program. Facilities include a dome covered pool (from Sept – June) that is kept at 88°F. A bathroom/changing room and an outdoor shower to rinse before and after swimming are located near the pool. Inside the dome there is plenty of seating for parents to watch classes.
